ESP32 Serial Ports

Finding the board's serial port on macOS.

find serial ports on mac ​

shell
ls /dev/tty.*
ls /dev/cu.*

find chip info by esptool

shell
esptool.py -p PORT flash_id

Replace PORT with the name of used serial port.

micropython esp-c3 ​

erase flash

shell
esptool.py --chip esp32c3 --port /dev/ttyUSB0 erase_flash

write flash

esptool.py --chip esp32c3 --port /dev/ttyUSB0 --baud 460800 write_flash -z 0x0 esp32c3-20220117-v1.18.bin
