Automating Deploys to Cloudflare Pages

Why I built a Claude Code skill to fork and host the tools I collect.

1 min read

Today, I used Claude Code to build a skill called deploy-to-cloudflare-pages.

I’ve been thinking about creating my own collection of bookmarked tools and web apps. Sometimes I build them myself, and sometimes I use LLMs like GPT or Claude to vibe-code them.

For example, I wanted my own Mermaid editor because the website I usually use is often slow or keeps loading. When I find an open-source project on GitHub, I first need to check whether it can be deployed to Cloudflare Pages. If it can, I fork the project, create a Cloudflare Pages deployment, and then configure an email OTP policy in Cloudflare Access to protect it.

Since I have to repeat these steps quite often, I created this skill to automate the whole process.

It feels like a small thing, but I like the idea of gradually building my own set of tools instead of depending on websites that may be slow, unavailable, or inconvenient to use.
